Definition of Accounting Software |
Accounting software is a computer program that provides the functionality necessary to record and manage a company's accounting transactions. Core functions are accounts payable, accounts receivable, eneral ledger, billing, sales orders and purchase orders. Accounting software also normally provides a range of peripheral functions such as payroll, stock control, expense manageent, reporting and timesheets. Most accounting software supports the main business functions related to accounting, and this includes regulatory requirements such as income tax calculation and VAT reporting.
